5 Days Classic Tanzania Safari from Nairobi Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi – Namanga Border – Lake Manyara National Park

Travel Distance: ~6-7 hours (including stopovers)

Morning:

  • Early pick-up (6:00 AM) from your Nairobi hotel or residence.

  • Drive to the Namanga border for immigration clearance, then continue to Arusha.

Afternoon:

  • Lunch stop in Arusha, Tanzania.

  • By 3:30 PM, start your first game drive at Lake Manyara National Park.

  • Spot the famous tree-climbing lions, large flocks of flamingos, herds of elephants, baboons, giraffes, hippos, and more.

Evening:

  • Check-in, dinner, and overnight at your Lake Manyara safari lodge or tented camp.

Day 2: Lake Manyara – Serengeti National Park

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Morning:

  • 6:30 AM: Early morning game drive — best for predator sightings.

  • Return for breakfast or enjoy a packed breakfast in the bush.

Daytime:

  • Full-day exploration of Serengeti’s wildlife-rich plains with a picnic lunch.

Wildlife Highlights:

  • Big Cats: Lions, cheetahs, leopards
