Mara Naboisho Conservancy covers 56 square miles in the northeastern section of the Masai Mara ecosystem, bordering the Masai Mara National Reserve to the southwest.
It was recognised as a conservancy in 2010, making it one of the more recently established safari areas in the Mara. It exists as a collaboration between more than 500 Maasai landowners, and deliberately supports fewer than ten lodges and camps across the whole area.
That restraint keeps vehicle numbers low and has helped build a reputation for outstanding game viewing across a varied landscape. Naboisho is particularly noted for its high density of lions.
