We want our cancellation terms to be clear before a safari is confirmed. Travel in East Africa often includes supplier commitments, flight holds, park logistics and permit-linked services, so some costs become fixed early. The aim of this policy is to explain the current booking structure in plain language rather than leave clients guessing after they have already committed.
A 30 percent non-refundable deposit is required to confirm a safari booking with Plentiful Adventures. This deposit secures planning work, supplier commitments and space on the itinerary. A booking should only be treated as confirmed once the deposit has been received and acknowledged by our team.
The remaining balance is due 60 days before departure. Clients should avoid leaving payment until the last moment because many safari services rely on advance reconfirmation. If a booking is made inside the final payment window, the trip may need to be paid in full at confirmation, depending on the date and services involved.
Date changes are free of charge when requested 30 days or more before departure, subject to availability. If the revised dates or updated routing change supplier pricing, accommodation level, flight cost or permit availability, additional charges may still apply. Itinerary modifications are therefore not automatically cost-neutral even when the planning amendment itself is allowed.
Where travel is disrupted by government travel restrictions, natural disasters or pandemics, we offer full credit for future travel within 18 months. This policy is designed to give clients a practical path forward when travel cannot operate as booked for reasons outside normal trip control. The exact rebooking outcome will still depend on supplier availability and the travel dates chosen for the replacement trip.
We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance that covers trip cancellation, medical emergencies and emergency evacuation. Insurance remains the best protection when a client’s reason for cancellation is personal, medical or otherwise outside supplier waiver terms. For any questions about how the policy applies to a current or proposed safari, contact our team at info@plentifuladventures.com before confirming travel.
