our Mount Kenya trek begins early in the morning with a scenic drive from Nairobi to Nanyuki, the gateway to Sirimon Route Mount Kenya. After registration at Sirimon Gate (2,600m), you’ll start your ascent through lush montane forests filled with wildlife such as colobus monkeys and bushbucks.
Hike for about 3–4 hours to reach Old Moses Camp, where you’ll rest for the night. This first section introduces you to the rhythm of high-altitude trekking and prepares you for the days ahead.
