The Narok County Government has officially confirmed the revised Masai Mara entry fees for the National Reserve. Beginning January 1, 2024, non-resident adults will be required to pay USD 100 per day for park entry until June 30, 2024. From July 1, 2024, onwards, the fee will escalate to USD 200 per day. Similarly, children aged 9 to 17 will be charged USD 50 per day, while children under 8 years old will continue to enjoy free entry.
These adjustments, proposed earlier and now confirmed, are aimed at bolstering conservation efforts, enhancing infrastructure, and supporting local communities. When visitors contribute to the preservation of this iconic reserve, they play a vital role in safeguarding its natural heritage.
In addition to Masai Mara entry fees, visitors planning overnight stays in the Masai Mara park will be subject to separate camping fees. Additionally campers at private campsites must enlist the services of two rangers for nighttime security, with transportation provided to and from the campsite. There is no requirement for providing food and accommodation for the rangers.

Among the lodges and camps situated within the Mara Conservancy are Mara Serena Safari Lodge and Little Governors Camp.
Resident rates are eligible for individuals residing in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Burundi. Additionally visitors must present their National ID (for Kenyan citizens) or Passport displaying Work permits or appropriate Visas to verify resident status upon entering the reserve. Visitors lacking a valid passport are subject to non-resident rates.
It is also equally important to note child rates apply to individuals aged 3 to 17 years old. Children under 3 years old are admitted free of charge.
Student rates are exclusively available to individuals up to 23 years old, sponsored by a recognized learning institution, and possessing a valid student ID. They must be visiting the reserve on a pre-arranged school-organized trip or for authorized research sanctioned by the ticketing office of the Masai Mara Reserve in Narok. Students must secure permission to avail of these special rates at least two weeks before their visit.
