Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), you will be warmly welcomed by our representative. After a short briefing, embark on a scenic drive to Aberdare National Park, a lush mountainous region known for its dense forests, waterfalls, and unique wildlife. Upon arrival, check in to your lodge and enjoy an afternoon at leisure, soaking in the serene surroundings. In the evening, relax at the lodge’s viewing deck and watch as wildlife such as elephants, buffalos, and leopards gather at the floodlit waterhole.
Spend a full day exploring the wonders of Aberdare National Park. Embark on a game drive through the misty forests and rolling moorlands, where you may encounter rare species like the bongo antelope, giant forest hogs, and the elusive black leopard. Visit the breathtaking Karuru and Chania waterfalls before returning to the lodge for a relaxing evening.
After an early breakfast, depart for Samburu National Reserve, a semi-arid wilderness rich in unique wildlife. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge, followed by an afternoon game drive. Samburu is home to the “Samburu Special Five”—the reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, Beisa oryx, Somali ostrich, and gerenuk. The Ewaso Nyiro River sustains a diverse range of wildlife, including elephants, lions, and crocodiles. Conclude the day with a sundowner overlooking the rugged landscape.
Set out on an early morning game drive when wildlife activity is at its peak. Watch predators such as lions and leopards on the hunt, and spot herds of elephants crossing the Ewaso Nyiro River. Return to the lodge for breakfast and leisure time before heading out for an afternoon game drive. Engage in a cultural visit to a local Samburu village to learn about their traditions and way of life.
Depart Samburu and travel to Lake Nakuru National Park, famed for its flamingo-lined shores and thriving rhino population. Arrive in time for lunch, followed by a game drive where you may spot white and black rhinos, lions, and Rothschild’s giraffes. The park’s alkaline lake attracts a variety of bird species, making it a birdwatcher’s paradise. Enjoy the sunset over the shimmering lake before heading back to the lodge.
After breakfast, embark on a journey to the world-renowned Maasai Mara, arriving in time for lunch. In the afternoon, set out for a thrilling game drive in search of the Big Five—lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhino. The Mara’s vast plains are home to abundant wildlife, offering spectacular sightings and unforgettable moments. Return to your lodge or camp for dinner under the starlit African sky.
Enjoy a full day of exploration in Maasai Mara, with morning and afternoon game drives. If visiting between July and October, witness the Great Migration, where millions of wildebeest and zebras cross the Mara River in a dramatic struggle for survival. You may also opt for an optional hot air balloon safari for a breathtaking aerial view of the reserve, followed by a champagne breakfast.
After a leisurely breakfast, bid farewell to Maasai Mara and embark on a scenic drive back to Nairobi. Depending on your departure time, enjoy an optional visit to a local market or the Giraffe Centre before your transfer to JKIA for your onward flight, concluding an unforgettable safari adventure.
