Day 1: Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve

Distance: ~350 km | Approx. 6–7 hrs drive or 1 hr flight

  • Depart Nairobi early in the morning for a scenic road trip through central Kenya, passing pineapple plantations and the dramatic slopes of Mount Kenya.

  • Arrive at your safari lodge or tented camp in Samburu in time for lunch.

  • Afternoon: Begin your first game drive through Samburu’s rugged and dramatic landscapes, famous for its unique dry-country wildlife.

Day 2: Samburu to Aberdares National Park

Distance: ~210 km | Approx. 4–5 hrs

  • Morning: Enjoy a final early game drive in Samburu, then return for breakfast before checking out.

  • Depart for Aberdares — a stark contrast to Samburu’s dry plains, offering cool highland forests, misty moors, and mountain scenery.

  • Afternoon: Arrive at your forest lodge built above waterholes, where wildlife often comes to drink just meters away. Watch elephants, bushbuck, buffalo, and warthogs from the comfort of the observation decks.

  • Evening: Relax and enjoy nocturnal wildlife sightings as floodlights illuminate the waterhole overnight.

Day 3: Aberdares to Lake Nakuru National Park

Distance: ~180 km | Approx. 3–4 hrs
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

  • Morning: Depart Aberdares after breakfast, descending through lush farmland and scenic Great Rift Valley views.

  • Arrive at Lake Nakuru National Park — world-renowned for its seasonal flocks of flamingos and rich wildlife diversity.

  • Afternoon: Game drive along the shores and woodlands of the lake.

  • Afternoon:
     Enjoy a peaceful boat ride across the lake, spotting hippos, African fish eagles, pelicans, kingfishers, and more.
     Optional: Take a walking safari at Crescent Island Sanctuary, where giraffes, zebras, gazelles, and waterbucks roam freely without predators.

  • Evening: Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Lake Naivasha to Maasai Mara National Reserve

Distance: ~240 km | Approx. 4–5 hrs
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

  • Morning: Depart Naivasha after breakfast for the famous Maasai Mara, driving past rolling hills, local farms, and Maasai villages.

  • Midday: Check into your camp or lodge, enjoy a hot lunch, and prepare for your first game drive.

  • Afternoon: Game drive across the golden plains of Maasai Mara — a wildlife photographer’s paradise.

 Big Five — lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants, buffalo.

  • Evening: Dinner and overnight at your Maasai Mara lodge or camp.

Day 6: Full-Day Maasai Mara Safari Experience

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

  • Early morning: Start with a sunrise game drive when predators are most active and the light is perfect for photography.

  • Mid-morning: Return for a hearty breakfast at the lodge. Rest or join an optional Maasai village visit to learn about their traditions, lifestyle, and warrior culture.

  • Afternoon: Set out for another wildlife-packed game drive across the Mara — especially scenic during the Great Migration (July–October).

  • Evening: End your day with a sunset game drive, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Maasai Mara to Nairobi

Distance: ~265 km | Approx. 5–6 hrs by road OR 1 hr by flight
Meals: Breakfast

  • Morning: After breakfast, check out of your lodge and enjoy your final drive through Maasai Mara.

  • Optional: Arrange a short morning game drive (if time allows) before departure.

  • Return to Nairobi by road or flight, with a lunch stop en route.

  • Upon arrival in Nairobi, transfer to your hotel or to the airport for your onward journey.
