Explore Uganda’s best wildlife and primates on this thrilling adventure. Start in Entebbe, with options like the Botanical Gardens or a Lake Victoria sunset cruise. Heaad to Queen Elizabeth National Park for exciting game drives and a Kazinga Channel boat safari. Then, trek through Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for a rare encounter with mountain gorillas. Conclude with a scenic return to Entebbe, ending an unforgettable journey.
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you’ll be welcomed by your guide and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you can explore Entebbe Botanical Gardens, visit the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre, or take a sunset boat cruise on Lake Victoria. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in Entebbe.
After breakfast, you’ll depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park (QENP), a journey of approximately 6-7 hours through scenic countryside, local villages, and tea plantations. Upon arrival, you’ll check in at your lodge before heading out for an afternoon game drive, where you may spot elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopards, and antelopes. In the evening, enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge within or near the park.
Start your day with an early morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains, one of the best places to see predators such as lions and leopards hunting. After breakfast at the lodge, you’ll have time to relax before heading for an afternoon boat safari on the Kazinga Channel, a waterway that connects Lake Edward and Lake George. The boat cruise offers close encounters with hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and numerous bird species. After this incredible wildlife experience, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, you’ll embark on a scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to the endangered mountain gorillas. If taking the Ishasha route, you’ll have the chance to spot the famous tree-climbing lions in the southern sector of QENP. Upon arrival at Bwindi, check in at your lodge and enjoy the serene rainforest atmosphere. In the evening, you can choose to visit a Batwa (Pygmy) community, take a nature walk, or relax at your lodge with stunning forest views.
Today is the highlight of your journey—gorilla trekking! After an early breakfast, you’ll head to the park headquarters for a briefing before embarking on a trek through the dense rainforest in search of a habituated gorilla family. The trek can take anywhere from 2 to 6 hours, but the experience of spending one unforgettable hour with the gorillas is truly life-changing. After the trek, you’ll return to the lodge to relax. In the afternoon, you may opt for a forest walk, a visit to a local community, or a Bwindi waterfall hike. Enjoy your final night in the wild with dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge.
After breakfast, you’ll begin your journey back to Entebbe (either by road or domestic flight). If time allows before your international departure, you can visit the Entebbe Craft Market for souvenirs or enjoy a relaxing lunch by Lake Victoria. Your guide will transfer you to Entebbe International Airport for your flight home, marking the end of your unforgettable Uganda wildlife and gorilla safari.
